2nd Division |
![]() |
The 2nd Division is very important to the TNRR as the only yard facilities on the railroad are located here in Warm Springs. The 2nd has no on-line customers and so serves as a bridge between the 1st and 3rd Divisions. The 2nd Division runs from New Castle through Warm Springs Yard, Brady, Park, over the Western Prairie route to Wynnewood and Davis, where it meets the 1st Division.
New CastleToday, New Castle might be a suburb of Warm Springs but actually has remained a tiny hamlet. Thompson Siding begins here which now serves as a back-end lead into Warm Springs Yard for switching. The 2nd Division line ends shortly beyond New Castle. All plans to extend it have evaporated like the summer rain. |

Paradise JunctionMarks the entry of the Warren Cutoff from the 1st Division. |

Warm Springs YardThis has developed into the main yard facility (and only one of note) on the TNRR. All local trains are sorted and blocked here. |
||
Brady CrossingConnecting tracks from Amherst Junction and Hope Junction on the 3rd Division meet here, allowing a bypass of Fitchburg which sees frequent blockades of the main line due to service to local industry and shortage of siding tracks there. |
||
BradyThanks to Brady Crossing, this is a favorite railfanning spot. The locals were opposed to rail service here, so businesses went elsewhere, and after some time, everybody had followed. |

||
WynnewoodThe stub track is left over from by-gone days and is only occasionally used for temporary storage of MOW equipment. Railroad business here had been scarce at best and is nonexistent now. |
||
DavisThe 2nd Division joins the 1st here. Continuing along the track from here, one could return to Warm Springs via the Warren Cutoff, but since all business services on the 2nd have ceased, this never happens these days. |
