The Texas Northern Railroad (TNRR) is a busy short line railroad. Company headquarters and operating department are located in the TNRR building in Gene Autry. Warm Springs is the home of the main yard facilities. A passing siding, a bypass, a cutoff, and a few storage tracks are located at strategic points on the railroad. The TNRR has four divisions, known as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Northern Divisions. The 3rd is actually the oldest part of TNRR, dating back to the times when Gene Autry was the county seat and Warm Springs consisted of just two houses, a barn and the spring of a smelly creek. Last year the TNRR moved 5800 cars. Current forecasts predict that the coming year will see about 8700 car movements. On-line customers include a coal mine, a grain elevator, a number of warehouses and factories, a cement plant, and a lumber mill. Click on one of the divisions to find out more:
